12a 6 port
12a 6 port
I was just curious as to what made a 12a 6 port different than a standard 12a. anyone know?

Re: 12a 6 port
The 12A 6 port had 2 ports in each end plate, instead if just one like a normal 12A. The middle plate had very small ports for the primaries as well.
The 6 port plates have a longer opening duration.
They run a sleeve/insert in the port which activates at higher rpm (vacuum activated I think) to open the auxiliary ports.
Same rotating mass as a S3 12A and 12AT motor. Lightest rotors available and therefore best set up for a 12A build.
Same design as found in the FC NA 13B which is also 6 port, as opposed to the turbo motor (T2) which is 4 port.
