SA struts on a FB?

Post by m swann »

Today's silly question from me.
I have a set of "track" front springs / struts that are for a SA.
Is there any reason I can't fit them to my FB?
When in doubt....hit the gas.
22 7's in the yard makes me a collector...not a redneck.

The early cars (Series 1 79 thru 80) had a unique strut and shock so you can't fit a later shock (81 thru 86) inside the strut. I assume the earlier strut will fit onto the later cars though. You're only talking millimeters in terms of height difference. I'm sure someone on here will know for sure.

Thanks Dave, I have the SA shocks, some old Tokico's in great shape. Just looking not to spend money to achieve the desired result.
