Hello

Post by kenitd »

Nothing like a rotary!

Started with a new '83GS. Lots of road miles along with some track days. Then acquired an '85GSL. Great car.

About 4 years ago wanted to build a track car. What else... An '85GS. We have made extensive mods to the suspension and drive train. We have now run 7 24 Hours of LeMons and 1 ChumpCar race. Had fastest lap in the last three races.

Latest mod was adapting a Miata transmission to the RX7 transmission. Closer ratios and more robust. Also, we built up a killer REPU 13B to go along with the new tranny.

Developing this track car we have learned a lot about engines, transmissions, and suspensions.

Happy to share and eager to learn.

Looking forward to being part of this forum.

Hiya, quite a stable you've got through. Pics of the REPU are requested. One of my all-time bucket list cars right there 8-)
