boost gauge issue on my janspeed turbo

ive fitted a genuine defi bf boost gauge & ive also tested 2 other brands of boost gauge aswell on my fb & they all read plus 1 psi of boost on idle @ 900rpm is this normal on a turbo carb rex? as on my fc/fd they read about minus 4 psi on idle! cheers mick
