Hi John

Welcome! I am from East London South Africa! Sounds like you have the same motor as I do. I have also found endless flooding issues, especially when the car hs been standing a while. I have found a tap on the top of the needle inlets with the back of a screw driver normally solves the problem. Flooding fouls the plugs really quickly but a clean with some brake cleaner and a wire brush should get the spark back.

Regards
Keith

The injectors are well known to leak, particularly after running as the fuel pressure is retained in the lines.

Start with this.
Back in the UK for the summer, maybe longer......
