My name is Kevin, from Holland, here to say hello and perhaps gather some info.
Got a '91 FC turbo II for over 11 years now. It has been a learning tool for me on various aspects. Because of this and changes on the way of thinking with this project, I'd rather rebuild the thing instead of continuing to further modify it
Maybe, one day, it'll happen. For now I'll just take it out now and then. Should go to the track more often though.
But not to long ago (like a week) I couldn't resist spending money that I don't have on a non-running (like in, no engine present) FB. It has been first registered at January 86 so I think its an '85 car.
Car has rust, rust repairs, left front fender looks welded to the car underneath
Because I want to build it my way, this seems like a better base compared to pay like 4 times the money for a "decent running car" and then buy an engine and build it.
The thing is though, this was pretty much unplanned and I'm trying to invest money in my own (part-time) business so there is a good possibility that the car will sit for quiet a while before serious work will start.
So, ye, seen the rust on the floor / doorsils, a door, around the rear hatch, minor spot around the windshield and some surface stuff. Any specific places to look? Or perhaps where not to look (so I don't need to cry in a corner).
By the way, is there a way to verify what I got exactly? I believe they said it might be a GSL. Got disc brakes all around, no sun roof and I'm curious on the diff.
