Oil leak

Post by RX_EJA »

Right I've got the complete carb off under the base plate there is a lot of oil, there is a pipe which runs from the oil filler to this area but dsnt appear to be coming from there?

Any ideas?

IIRC when I took my intake manifold off once some of the passages that were once used for air pump had got a fair amount of oil collecting in them. I think it had come from the breather hoses and would normally have been flushed out by the air pump action but with that all removed it just collected.

This did happen around the time I slightly overfilled the sump and every time I cornered hard right it would spit oil from the breather and blow blue smoke anyway so might be a different problem!

As Ian says, pictures would be the best bet here. :)
