Out of curiosity, how readily available are parts like rear caliper, nikki carbs, head light lift mechanism and the engine bay rubbers?

Re: JUST JOINED
Hi John Welcome! I am from East London South Africa! Sounds like you have the same motor as I do. I have also found endless flooding issues, especially when the car hs been standing a while. I have found a tap on the top of the needle inlets with the back of a screw driver normally solves the proble...

Re: Saving My 81 RX7
Thanks for all the messages! Really hope to get another 1st Gen in the not too distant future!
Hopefully there will still be a few good ones around when that time comes.... Even if it means having to import one to South Africa....

Re: Saving My 81 RX7
Thanks Ian. My wife and I have already decided that we will someday own another 1st Gen, one way or another. But I think the first one will always have a special place....

Re: Mello Yello
I popped down to the Mazda dealer yesterday to pick up this - http://i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac187/3whitepillars/DSC_0045_zps1e8df50e.jpg which should nicely fill the gap left by the relocated number plate http://i898.photobucket.com/albums/ac187/3whitepillars/photo2_zps875a2d5d.jpg if i ever g...

Re: Saving My 81 RX7
My oil pressure always sits at around 30psi at idle and rises to a little over 60psi from about 1800rpm. I have another pressure gauge in the centre console and have the same behaviour from that one. My biggest fear is burning a motor due to oil problems so as part of my priming the fuel pump I pull...

Re: msd ignition blaster 2 hi power performance ignition co
Like I said previously, I am running an electronic dizzy with 2 MSD blaster 2 coils and no resistors and the car runs and starts great! Using BR8EQ NGK plugs and so far plugs seem to be burning cleaner than before.
You can see the start up clip of my car on my build thread.

Re: Saving My 81 RX7
So my RX7 has been asleep in the garage for almost a month and figured this would be the perfect time to do a little experiment..... Below is a clip of the first attempt to start up the RX7. Battery was never disconnected and the only thing done prior to deciding to do the clip was priming the fuel ...

Re: Lucky's Series 3
Really looks amazing Lucky! Those energy suspension bushes really make all the difference to the handling, especially when you add the first new set of shocks the car has had since new.... I went with the black energy suspension bushes as they have graphite infused in them which is supposed to appar...
