Re: SA Restoration
My vote is for n/a bridge port, just seems more period correct and suited to the cars character

What 13B have you got?RX7SA wrote:As I have a 13b I am going to work with that for now.
I will just have to weigh up pros cons etc with what I want from the car, my goal is as original looking as poss but with 200 - 250bhp on tap. I think turbo will prob be the best way for this but am fully prepared to be proved wrong!
Turbo is the easy way to get the power figures you want. NA can be done but the driveability suffers and engine longevity might not be that good. Depends if you mind that or not.
You'll need to upgrade the gearbox cos a FB box won't like it.

I believe its a 13B-RESi 4 port. Yeah I don't want to go to high with the power as I don't want to go changing a lot on the car as I really like the simplicity and originality of the S1, thats why I'm keen on a streetport IDA. However, a turbo is bolt on power and if the gearbox can take it then????
I went for a a ride in Miss January, Johnnyboy's Elford turbo and was well impressed with the smooth delivery of the engine and how cleanly it revved and pulled.
Ah I guess it'll come down to pros, cons and personal preference. First things first, see what the engine is like and get the body sorted, nothing like burying my head in the sand

I'm inspired
Lots of nice touches there, I like the Focus side repeaters and stuff like that. I don't know about that rear numberplate though
. Can you convince the ol Bill to let you run without one to preserve the car's purity of line and design?
