I'm not paying £90 to take the shorter route...so Castle it is
I shall find a printer over the weekend and sort the entry form out...better late than never
I'll carry a spare bottle of whiskey...no, I mean coolant

Re: 25th London to Brighton Classic Car Run
Ours is 08:59 and we are #71 (I do wish they could be a little more precise about these things).
So looking to get to Brooklands for 08:00. And helpfully, my wife mentioned tonight that she has quite a lot of work to get through this weekend! Translation = If you can get someone more interested than I am .... that would be helpful.
Will have to play the Castle Visit card now!
How are things with VYV? No more hot under the collar episodes?

Vyv has plenty of issues - the water level sender in the top of the rad is leaking a bit now too...I'll carry some spare coolant, and cross my fingers!

Re: 25th London to Brighton Classic Car Run
Wow...what a day!
Karissa and I really enjoyed it, a good selection of cars, and a good run out. I'll take the shorter route next time, I drive too much as it is
Shame a few cars fell along the way - both rotaries were fine though, reliability, cuh, who'd have thought it
I'm finding photosluggit a bit pants at the moment, some of the images are doubled up, some are missing
but hey, here's most of them I think...
parked up watching some leave...

about to set off from Brooklands

First stop...Chiddingstone castle...which isn't a castle, but it has some stuff that makes it look like one

Then we set off on our way to Brighton - an E-type lead the way, followed by some proper sports cars

queues on Ditchling somewhere...nasty traffic, lovely views

Got to Brighton Racecourse eventually though...

oldest car on the run...same owner for the last 50 years

arty capri shot

happiest car there

vyv looking on..

our fellow FBers on their way home

and a last arty one for those that like em that way

Re: 25th London to Brighton Classic Car Run
A most excellent day. For those who like car gatherings and taking photo's, there were 186 entrants this year, the oldest being a 1937 Austin 7 Opal and the newest, a 1988 Rolls Royce Silver Spur. It's also worth mentioning that there were but two Japanese cars in the whole field and they just happened to be our two RX's so YAY FOR ROTARIES.
We both completed the almost 100 mile course and there were a fair few that went all bonnets in the air along the way.
A is for Anniversary. It was also the 25th running of the event so in celebration ....

A is for Alpine. 1964 Sunbeam Alpine - doppelganger for the James Bond Doctor No car.
