I have just bought 1 as well, so would also be interested in your "Fitting Instructions"
regards Pete
If I get chance I will pull the door card back off and get some pics, there is a spare hole in the door lock lever that means you dont need to use any of the bracketry that comes with the kit. Makes me wonder if Mazda were going to fit central locking???
Ditto for pics and fitting tips please and thankyou :)

I hope you lot appreciate this, I wouldn't pull my door card back off for just anyone !

I will assume that you can manage to get the door card off, if not don't proceed any further
With the door card removed you can see the back of the latch mechanism, there is a pivot with the locking bar attached, this pivot has a spare hole in it which is where the locking motor is attached on the pic below.
Image

Close up of the same pic, you can see the m4 nut and bolt in the top of the motor that goes into the hole in the pivot. I didn't put a nut on the back it works fine just poking through the hole.
Image

The motor mounts directly to the door itself but does need spacing out to line up with the hole in the pivot, I used 2 m6 nuts to space mine. By an amazing stroke of luck there already is a hole in the door in the right place with a rubber bung in it.
You can see the spacing nuts here.
Image

This pic shows the mounting points of the motor, the top one (hole A) is the one that is already there, the bottom one (hole B) has to be drilled.
Image

This pic shows a motor, I took it to show the mounting holes in the motor in line with the fixings in the door but for some reason the don't look in line but they are honest.
Image

The control box comes with a colour coded loom, this can be fed through the grommets into the door if you remove the grommets first. The box can then be tucked away under the dash by the drivers footwell.
Image

Give the control box a live and a neg and its job done !

Hope this is useful 0-0

Lovely 8-) Can't believe it's that simple. Bet it wouldn't be if I tried it

Can you still lock and unlock with the keys and the door tabs? In case of flat batteries and that?

It really is that simple Nik, the drivers side motor is also a switch for the other motors so if the remote battery is flat the central locking works from the key or door tabs, if the car battery is flat the drivers door will still unlock from the key.
