Finally got round to fitting today ;)
Thanks to your instruction the fixing of the solenoids were easy h:
The wiring was not, as the instructions showed the 6 wires for the central locking as completely different than those on the actual control unit
A multimeter, 50 minutes & belief in the FORCE sorted them out, even managed to connect up the indicators flashing - once for Lock & twice for unlock :) Also had a small LED to mount on the dash that flashes when locked to look like a alarm - all that for £9.99 incl postage from HK.
It even had the facility to pop the Fuel Flap/Rear hatch but I quit while I was ahead.

Must be one of the best mods per £ going.
What else could make you smile that much for a tenner (Don't answer that).

A very embarrassing 600 miles and 200 of those were going to retro rides
Should be easy to beat that this year though !

Spent a bit of time on the 7 this weekend, I've been collecting bits for a while and managed to get the final parts last week.

So my plan was to get rid of this...
Image

And replace it with this...
Image

While I was doing the job I thought I might as well bang a couple of 20mm core plugs in so I won't loose my coolant if I remove the manifold, I also gave the rad and block a good flush through with the hose pipe. While access was good I decided to lag the exhaust to keep a bit of heat away from the carb.
Image

So 48 IDA fitted, did a little mod to re-use the omp lines and had to make a bracket for the throttle cable, I also used the cable quadrant from an old nikki as the IDA one made using the original cable difficult.

It started well, so I went for a blast and couldn't believe the difference, the torque in the lower rev range is far better and the engine is much more responsive so I'm a very happy bunny. By the way did I mention the noise, its addictive !

Got it on my gas analyser and this is where it seemed to be happiest...

Just need to burn some fuel now :D

Nice h[b[

Is there any way that you can compare your before and after gas mileage? Would be interesting to see.

I've ordered a filter, just wanted to see if I could live with it before I spent any more cash.
Tonight I found an old wiring loom so I will strip all the unwanted stuff out and tidy the engine bay.
As for mpg Dave I suspect it will be down to mid teens
