Got my car in the garage a couple of days ago!

Just in time for my week off work. Everything holding the axle in has been taking off or loosened ready to drop it. Only problem I have is where the passenger side shock bolts onto the axle bracket. The nut is loose so isn't doing anything but the bolt just spins in the shock. Seized into the shock? Any ideas how to get it out? I tried whacking it with a hammer

I like this topic for random bits and pieces haha. Save the goodies for my build thread though! :D

smack it out with a bigger hammer, a lump hammer or something or hacksaw through the bolt on both sides between the shock and the mounting bracket..... you can then drop the axle, take the shock off the car and punch the remains of the old bolt out and I'll send you a spare bolt to replace it with.

Shows a bit dryly. First spray some WD 40 on it. You can find your WD40 in the front of the garage on the right side

Hahahah thanks Thomas! -haha- I had sprayed it a few times with the WD40. I'll let some soak in overnight though

Thanks for the tips though aye guys. Wasn't sure if I was going to damage the shock haha. I'll man up tomorrow :x

It doesn't take much when nice shiny car parts are involved.
